Prenatal yoga is a multifaceted approach to exercise that encourages stretching, mental centering and focused breathing. Beyond a way to relax and stay fit, prenatal yoga can also help you prepare for birth and promote your baby’s health. Research suggests that prenatal yoga can improve sleep, reduce stress and anxiety, increase flexibility, strength and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth, and decrease lower back pain, nausea, headaches and shortness of breath.
Additionally, prenatal yoga at Lotus allows you to build a community of soon-to-be mommies. One of our members had this to say about our classes: “I loved the classes – I received the biggest benefit from simply being surrounded by a community of supportive women.”
Classes are currently on Thursdays at 5:30pm and Fridays at 1pm. When you sign up for the 6-class pass, you can drop into either time slot.
